The System Page
Create a "system page" for each task you must routinely complete.
A system page is a file:
either a text file or html file, according to your needs and preferences
kept on your computer (for your eyes only)
that outlines the sequential steps for accomplishing a task.
Creating a written system for those tasks you repeat weekly, monthly, quarterly, is valuable time spent most wisely.
The list of steps is in front of you.
You check them off the list - 1, 2, 3.
No struggling to remember "what's next" or
"where did I stick the bookmark for that control panel".
The system is listed in front of you.
You can just get the job done, no struggle, no sweat.
Following is an example system page for producing the monthly VCC newsletter
A text file in the directory containing past issues of the VCC newsletter is titled " VCC Monthly Procedure".
(A space is at the beginning of the file name to force it to the top of the alphabetical list.)
This is the contents of that file.
For each publish date...
