Selecting a Download Handler for Downloading From WebSite's Secret

WebSite's Secret has several download handlers members may download and use on their websites. Each works differently. The short descriptions below can help decide which is best for a particular job. (Need to be logged in before downloading.)

Download Authority

Guards against illegal downloads. Protects downloads by requiring links to be located only on pages you specify. Download links may expire. Location of original downloadable files are not revealed, and may be in a password-protected directory. For those who have a requirement to prevent unauthorized downloads.

Excel Download

Convert any CSV-formatted file on your server into an Excel spreadsheet and automatically download it. Use for yourself or provide the link to others.

Force Download Without Right-click

Avoid right-click hassles. Download files, including .txt and .pdf files, with a normal click on a link. Easy to set up and easy to use. The download link URL is the URL of the script with a "?" and location of downloadable file appended. No counter or tracker or anything like that. Simply a way to avoid right-click downloading and the personal hand-holding it can require to assist the inexperienced.
