Let Amazon Pay You

Make some money from Amazon.

(You'll need to be an Amazon affiliate for Amazon to pay you.)

Paste one line of JavaScript to publish the example ad you see on the left. Use the form below to generate the JavaScript.

The JavaScript generator has three boxes.

1. (Required) Provide either your Associates ID or affiliate product URL.

2. (Optional) The simulated mobile device color may be changed.

   If you specify a new color in Generator Box # 2 and then click elsewhere on the page, the simulated mobile device in the example ad changes color accordingly.

3. The copy and paste JavaScript for pasting into your webpage. (Instructions below the box.)

Generator Box # 1:

Specify your Amazon Associates ID or the 52 Good-to-Know Techbits affiliate product URL.

How to get an Amazon affiliate product URL —

1. Log in at your country's Amazon website or at http://www.amazon.com/

2. Paste this book ID into the search box:

3. 52 Good-to-Know Techbits will be listed on the results page. Click on the book title.

4. At the top of the book sales page, you'll see a menu for Amazon Associates called a Site Stripe. (You may need to log in to see Site Stripe.) In that menu, click "Text".

5. You'll see a text box with a short link. It looks something like this (where CODE is a string of characters): http://amzn.to/CODE

   Copy the short link in the text box. It's your Amazon affiliate product URL for 52 Good-to-Know Techbits.

   (If you see a very long link instead of a short one, make sure the "Short Link" radio button is checked.)

Here, specify your Associates ID or your affiliate product URL.

Generator Box # 2:

Optionally, you may change the simulated mobile device color. (To change, specify a hexadecimal color value or a standard web page color name.)

Follow these instructions for where to paste the one line of JavaScript. Both WordPress and non-WordPress instructions are provided.

• WordPress Sites —

Post or Page  To put the ad in a post or page where you review or just talk about 52 Good-to-Know Techbits, paste the JavaScript where you want the ad to be published. Use the "Text" tab, not the "Visual" tab, when pasting the JavaScript.

Widget  To put the ad in your theme's widget area, create a text widget and paste the JavaScript into it. See Using the WordPress Text Widget for detailed instructions about creating a text widget.

• Non-WordPress Sites —

Paste the JavaScript where the ad is to be published.

The JavaScript can be pasted into the site template so it appears in the site navigation column. Or, it can be placed within an article where you review or just talk about 52 Good-to-Know Techbits.

How it Works

When your page loads, the JavaScript calls the WillBontrager.com server. The JavaScript delivers the URL and color information.

The WillBontrager.com server responds by delivering the ad to your web page with the specified URL and simulated mobile device color.
