Hide and Reveal Content, On Demand

Busy web pages can benefit from these easy "Hide and Reveal Content" techniques. Make extra information available to the visitor — on the same page they are viewing — with either a click or mouseover action.

When the content appears, previously existing content is shifted around to make room for the new.

Images, iframes, forms, tables, text — all these visual elements can be inserted into and removed from web pages when the site visitor performs predefined actions.

This article gives all the details on "How It Works".

Links to working examples, each with copy 'n paste code:

  1. Basic example: New content is revealed when a link is clicked.

  2. New content is revealed when the visitor's mouse hovers over a link.

  3. A "[Read More]" link is clicked to reveal new content. When new content is inserted, the "[Read More]" link is changed to "[Read Less]"

  4. An IFRAME is revealed when the "[View IFRAME]" link is clicked.

  5. A button is clicked to reveal a subscription form.

The Quick 'N Easy Layer Show/Hide article provides copy 'n paste code for many hide/display requirements.
