Universal Display/Undisplay Function
(with optional Auto Scroll Return)
I don't know about you, but some people find the idea daunting when they think about coding a web page to display and undisplay content with a click.
A new tutorial in the WebSite's Secret members area makes the process much easier now- even if you want to present multiple "click to reveal" links on a page.
The new addition,"Universal Display/Undisplay Function", contains copy and paste JavaScript to handle the display and undisplay of content on a web page. No customization is necessary.
Will uses diagrams and examples to show you how to use the JavaScript.
And, the JavaScript has a bonus feature: When someone clicks a link to display the content of a div, the web page scroll position is remembered. When the div is undisplayed, the web page is scrolled back to the previous position.
The bonus feature is nice when the displayed content is so large the user has to scroll to see it all. The window is conveniently returned to the same position when the content is undisplayed.
The JavaScript can display/undisplay any number of divs with one mouse click. If more than one, the remembered scroll position is for the first div in the list.
